Dr Bhattacharjee treats patients suffering from all common neurological diseases, such as headaches, blackouts, and epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, and Multiple Sclerosis. His specialised clinic at the Royal Free Hospital deals with peripheral nerve and neuromuscular diseases, and neuroinflammatory diseseases such as neurosarcoidosis. He is a specialist in immunological diseases and regularly treats other diseases where there is neurological involvement for example with rheumatological, renal, and dermatological diseases. In addition, he co-runs a clinic with a Consultant Haematologist where he treats patients with haematological diseases affecting the nervous system.
Dr Bhattacharjee studied medicine at Guy's and St. Thomas' Hospitals, earning a first-class degree in Physiology and was top in his exams. He then pursued an MB/PhD programme funded by the Migraine Trust, qualifying with distinction. He went on to train at a number of London hospitals before training as a Specialist Registrar in Neurology at the Royal Free Hospital and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery.
Dr Bhattacharjee is a member of the Royal Free IVIg committee Subregional Immunoglobulin Assessment Panel and has developed a large plasma exchange service with the Royal Free's haematology department to treat patients with neuro-immunological disorders. Dr Bhattacharjee is often asked to present his work at national and international conferences and is an advisor to pharmaceutical companies involved in the treatment of neuro-immunological disorders.

What a Wonderful empathetic doctor . He listened to my waffling with Patience explaining everything calmly and instilling in me full confidence in the treatment he suggested . Would thoroughly recommend him 100%
Dr Bhattacharjee was kind, professional and understood my situation .and diagnosis. He was very practical about my ongoing tratment and suggested I went to the NHS rather than to him, which I thought was a sensible approach.
I saw Dr Bhattacharjee for a consultation. He was very professional, kind and really listened. He provided me with the best plan for further investigation, in a reassuring manner. I felt very confident in his expertise.
It was a productive visit and I gained a good understanding on what was happening. I appreciated that during the initial consultation Dr Bhattacharjee was clear on all of the potential next steps (before scan) and the examination was thorough. I did find it challenging though to be able to discuss all of my symptoms though as he often did cut into the conversation, but I appreciated the detail and his calm manner nonetheless.
Mr. Bhattacharjee is a very kind and caring doctor. He listened to my concerns, explained things clearly and took time to answer all my questions. Jane, his secretary, was very supportive at all times. Wonderful service and I would highly recommend.
