Dr Stuart Weatherby

Dr Weatherby is a Consultant Neurologist. They are the clinical director of the Neurology Department at a University Hospital, the clinical lead for stroke care and an honorary associate professor at a University Medical School. They are also a co-director of the peninsula headache network and the peninsula motor neurone disease network. Dr Weatherby qualified from Bristol University and trained in general medicine. They completed general neurology training and has a research degree in genetic factors involved in multiple sclerosis.

Dr Weatherby has published in various aspects of general neurology and co-written several book chapters. They are a co-author of national imaging guidance for primary care management of acute headache conditions and is currently involved in developing national guidance for the management of headache disorders.

Dr Weatherby has an interest in all aspects of general neurology and a particular sub-speciality interest in acute neurology, headache disorders and motor neurone disease. They carried out additional sub-speciality training in headache at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. Dr Weatherby has received awards for their clinical care.
