Professor Sinclair is a leading figure in Neurology, currently serving as Professor of Neurology at the University of Birmingham and as Head of the Translational Brain Science Research Group.
She specialises clinically and does research on headache disorders, migraine and Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension (IIH)
As chair of the British Association for the Study of Headache (BASH) and a former board member of the International Headache Society (IHS) and European Headache Federation, her influence extends across key organisations in her field. She has also served on the research committee for the Association of British Neurologists, North American Neuro-Ophthalmology Society and previously acted as patron for the patient charity IIH UK.

Professor Sinclair graduated with honors from the University of Birmingham's School of Medicine in 2000 and completed her MRCP in internal medicine in 2003. She underwent specialist training in neurology, earning her certificate of completion in 2012, and pursued a PhD focused on headache clinical practice. Her commitment to integrating clinical practice with research is evident in her roles as a National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Clinical Lecturer and NIHR-funded Clinician Scientist.
She is currently the Chair for the British Association for the Study of Headache, the UK headache associaton advocating for excellence in pratient care and training health care professionals. Professor Sinclair's expertise is recognised widely, leading to numerous invitations for keynote lectures and presentations at international medical conferences.
