Professor Sinclair is a leading figure in Neurology, currently serving as Professor of Neurology at the University of Birmingham and as Head of the Translational Brain Science Research Group.
She specialises clinically and does research on headache disorders, migraine and Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension (IIH)
As chair of the British Association for the Study of Headache (BASH) and a former board member of the International Headache Society (IHS) and European Headache Federation, her influence extends across key organisations in her field. She has also served on the research committee for the Association of British Neurologists, North American Neuro-Ophthalmology Society and previously acted as patron for the patient charity IIH UK.
Her research focuses on identifying disease pathways and discovering new drug therapies, with significant contributions to clinical studies assessing their efficacy.
She establish the headache department at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Trust. Since 2012, her clinical practice has encompassed various headache disorders, including migraine, cluster headaches, and concussion.
Professor Sinclair graduated with honors from the University of Birmingham's School of Medicine in 2000 and completed her MRCP in internal medicine in 2003. She underwent specialist training in neurology, earning her certificate of completion in 2012, and pursued a PhD focused on headache clinical practice.
