I am a senior neurologist with nearly 20 years' consultant experience in the NHS and private sector. I have a special interest and expertise in Parkinson’s and movement disorders including dystonia, ataxia, and atypical parkinsonian disorders such as progressive supranuclear palsy, multiple systems atrophy and corticobasal degeneration.
I trained in medical sciences at Cambridge University and graduated with first-class honours in 1989. For my clinical medical training, I moved to Oxford University, qualifying as a doctor in 1992. After completing general medical training as a junior doctor, I trained in neurology at a number of London hospitals over a period of seven years, including the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. During this time, I developed my special interest and expertise in Parkinson’s and related disorders. I did my PhD at University College, London in the genetics of movement disorders.
I finished my specialist training in 2004 and was appointed as a consultant neurologist at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital where I set up and developed a specialist Parkinson’s service. In 2013 I moved to Cambridge and was appointed as a consultant neurologist at Addenbrooke’s Hospital where I have a general neurology practice diagnosing and treating headache, seizures, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis and stroke and functional neurological disorders.

Dr Paul Worth is a professional, reassuring, and clear doctor. He explains symptoms, diagnoses, and treatment plans. Patients feel at ease with his good listening and confidence. His practice handles Parkinson's Disease, tremor, and migraine.
My consultation with Dr Paul Worth was extremely informative regarding the neurological problem that I am presently suffering with. A full examination took place and at each stage of the examination Dr Worth explained everything that he was doing and the reason for this. I have previously seen a Consultant Neurologist with the same problem and very little information was given to me at that time. Dr Worth I feel, really listened to me and understood the problems I am encountering. He also engaged with my wife, who was present at the consultation. He is an extremely nice person, very easy to get on with, and I would not hesitate to recommend his services to other people. with the same problem and very little information was given to me at the time. I did not feel
Felt listened to and Dr Wort explained everything very clearly.
Dr. Worth has been fantastic, very empathetic and understanding.
Thank you very much for the exceptionally warm welcome to your clinic. I truly appreciate how thorough you were with your questions and explanations during my visit. Your attentive care made me feel completely comfortable and well informed.
I would highly recommend Dr Worth to other patients. He made me feel very comfortable discussing my condition & was empathetic and knowledgable and I left with a clear plan of treatment. Thank you Dr Worth
Dr Worth reassured me that my symptoms do not indicate any neurological deficit which places me at much ease. However, he suggested an MRI scan was necessary to fully reassure me of no neurological damage which I much appreciate. Very good service.
It was a very positive & encouraging meeting which inspired confidence
I saw Dr Worth recently regarding a movement disorder following on from quite a traumatic neurological attack. Dr Worth was very kind in the meeting, did a thorough examination, and importantly took the time to listen, and respond empathetically with clarity and expertise, which i really appreciated. He has provided an excellent report, and i do hope the medication he has suggested will make a difference. I would highly recommend Dr Worth.
