Professor Simon Williams

Prof Simon Williams is an experienced general consultant cardiologist at the Alexandra Hospital, Regency Hospital, Wilmslow Hospital for over 20 years. His NHS base is Wythenshawe Hospital. He is well known for his approachability and ability to put people at ease. He has an interest in Heart Failure and Cardiology Oncology (cancer and the heart).

Along with his clinical work, Simon is an honorary Professor at the University of Manchester. He has over 120 publications in peer reviewed journals and frequently is invited to speak at international conferences. He is a Past President of the British Society for Heart Failure (BSH) board, the national healthcare charity. He has acted as an advisor for NICE and NHS England.

He lives in Hale. In his spare time supports Altrincham FC and Manchester United and likes running, skiing and Coronation Street.
