Dr Kamal Khan

Dr Kamal Khan is a Consultant Cardiologist and Interventional Cardiologist with specialist expertise in coronary artery disease and coronary angioplasty (stents). He has been practising as a Consultant since 2014, following completion of his training in 2012 and a Fellowship at Wythenshawe Hospital.

Dr Khan is based at Pennine Acute NHS Trust and participates in the regional heart attack primary PCI service at Manchester Royal Infirmary. He also consults privately at Spire Manchester Hospital, The Highfield Hospital in Rochdale (part of Circle Health Group), The Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle (also part of Circle Health Group), and HCA Healthcare UK’s The Wilmslow Hospital. In all these settings he provides assessment for a full range of cardiac conditions, with particular expertise in chest pain, angina, and coronary stenting.

His procedures are predominantly performed using the radial (wrist) approach, which improves patient comfort and reduces the risk of complications. In addition to his elective work, he performs emergency stenting procedures for heart attack patients at the Manchester Heart Centre, part of Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. He is also actively involved in improving cardiac care across the region through his role as a Clinical Associate of the Greater Manchester Strategic Cardiac Network.

Dr Khan’s professional memberships include the Royal College of Physicians, the British Cardiovascular Society, the British Cardiovascular Intervention Society, the European Association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions, the British Medical Association, and the Medical Protection Society.
