About Dr Sam Dawkins
Dr Sam Dawkins is a Consultant Cardiologist who practices at the Nuffield Manor Hospital in Oxford and Cleveland Clinic London. His NHS practice is at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.
He specialises in interventional cardiology and structural intervention (such as TAVI, mitral repair (MitraClip/Pascal), tricuspid repair (Pascal/TriClip), PFO closure, ASD closure and left atrial appendage occlusion), cardiac CT, and echocardiography.
Dr Dawkins trained in London and Oxford, as well as further developing his skills abroad working at Cedars Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles for two years. He has a large edge-to-edge mitral and tricuspid repair procedure (using the MitraClip, Pascal and TriClip devices) and has one of the highest procedure volumes in these techniques in the UK. He also has expertise performing TAVI procedures in complex situations such as valve-in-valve and patients with peripheral vascular disease.
Dr Dawkins is the Clinical Lead for Structural Intervention at the John Radcliffe Hospital. He is also an engaged teacher, regularly training fellow cardiologists in complex procedures and treatments around the globe.
