I will speak about my experience with Dr. Nadeem as a whole. He has been my psychiatrist on and off for the past 5 years and I can honestly say he’s the best one I’ve ever had! He’s so kind and listens very carefully to my concerns and fully takes into account my overall health, not just my mental struggles, when prescribing. He also has an impeccable memory for his patient’s history! He also always made me feel like I am his priority while we’re in our appointment. Never rushed. I will miss our visits!

My most recent visit with Dr. Nadeem was my final visit as we have stabilized my treatment! It was sad to say goodbye but also good because he has confidence that I will be ok on my own moving forward.

I genuinely cannot recommend Dr. Kurkar highly enough. From the day of my initial assessment to the present day, I have never once felt that he has not listened to me, taken me seriously or genuinely considered what is best for me. I feel incredibly heard, understood and supported by him.

I honestly feel that he has changed my life for the better since my initial assessment with him.

My initial assessment was extremely thorough, lasting around two hours. What I really appreciated was that it wasn’t simply an ADHD assessment; it was a full general psychiatry assessment where he took the time to consider the full clinical picture and explore everything in depth. Alongside my ADHD diagnosis, he also identified other areas that were important to understand, including autistic traits, generalised anxiety and social anxiety, and trauma. I felt that he was genuinely trying to understand me fully rather than simply assessing me for ADHD.

He has also been incredibly patient throughout my treatment. I can ask as many questions as I need to, and he never makes me feel like I am being “too much”, something I have felt often ever since I was younger. I feel completely comfortable speaking openly and honestly with him about whatever is on my mind. There is a level of trust and safety that means I can be completely transparent with him without feeling judged or dismissed, which I think is incredibly important when seeing a psychiatrist.

I also really value how collaborative he is. He always gives me options and genuinely asks for my thoughts and input, particularly because he knows I like to research things and can be cautious when it comes to medication. He gives me his honest professional opinion and makes sure that decisions are clinically appropriate and safe, whilst also listening to what I think and taking my circumstances and preferences into account. I have always felt like I am involved in decisions about my treatment rather than simply having decisions made for me, which I greatly appreciate.

He has also shown a great deal of understanding when it comes to my individual circumstances and what is important to me. At the same time, he always ensures that decisions are made carefully, with my health and safety as the priority. I really value that balance between listening to what a patient wants and making sure that what is being recommended is clinically appropriate.

My most recent appointment was probably the clearest example of why I recommend Dr. Kurkar so highly. I went into the appointment feeling quite down and deflated after a particularly difficult few weeks. Alongside struggling with my health, particularly due to the side effects I was experiencing after increasing my ADHD medication dose, I was also under a lot of stress at work. My self-esteem and confidence, which have been low for as long as I can remember, had taken quite the hit, and I was feeling quite overwhelmed, to say the least.

Dr. Kurkar was incredibly reassuring and encouraging. He didn’t just give me clinical advice; he took the time to listen and give me the support I needed at that moment. He also gave me positive feedback, which was very much appreciated given how low my self-esteem can be. I went into the appointment feeling quite down after everything I had been dealing with, but left feeling more positive, reassured and motivated. Given how difficult that particular week had been, that appointment was honestly the highlight of my week.

That is what makes Dr. Kurkar so exceptional to me. Of course, his expertise and experience are outstanding, but it is also the way he is as a person. He is kind, gentle, patient, compassionate and genuinely caring. He takes his responsibilities as a consultant extremely seriously and does not simply prescribe medication without careful consideration. He considers the wider picture, my wellbeing and safety, and makes decisions thoughtfully. He has even been considerate of the financial side of treatment, which I have really appreciated.

I am still relatively early in my ADHD treatment journey and am still working through medication titration, but I can already see a difference in my life. Things don’t feel as hopeless or as though they will never improve. Even on difficult days, I now have a sense that things can get better, and I genuinely feel that Dr. Kurkar’s support has played a huge part in that.

I have enormous respect for him and genuinely cannot thank him enough for everything he has done for me. I have recommended him to others and will continue to do so without hesitation.

Seeing Dr. Kurkar has genuinely been worth every penny. I feel incredibly fortunate to have found a consultant who is not only exceptionally knowledgeable and thorough, but who genuinely listens, cares and makes you feel seen. I honestly cannot recommend him enough.

We recently attended an appointment with Dr Holsgrove, in order for her to conduct a full mental health assessment of our daughter, who has been going through a very rough time lately, suffering with severe anxiety, and low mood. 
Dr Holsgrove was everything we excepted her to be, and most importantly what our daughter needed her to be - warm, friendly, professional, and non-judgemental, approaching challenging subject matters with a highly sensitive manner. She asked everything we expected her to ask, and gave guidance or advice where necessary. She also then provided a full detailed written report of her findings and advice within 24 hours.
We are extremely grateful to Dr Holsgrove for her support, and the way she spoke with our daughter. We would thoroughly recommend her as a truly knowledgeable and supportive professional, to anyone seeking similar help and guidance .
