Id describe my experience on the ward as poor, my key person was always off sick so I never felt I connected to any of the staff on the ward and often felt an inconvenience There was one lady who took us for walks who was very friendly and personable. My psychartrist Dr Radashanka was also very personable and Ive again stuck with her support since leaving the ward. I did have a very good experience with Nads the therapist. Ive since had a number of sessions with him post coming out. Hes the best therapist Ive ever had because he held me accountable and took me deep into myself to try and root out some mindsets that Id got myself locked into.
Every member of staff awesome and gave great help on what was for me an at times difficult journey. Ben Pesticcio and Nadeem Ahmed were particularly kind, considerate and helpful.

There have been totally unacceptable delays in receiving the patient's written diagnostic report after the final in-person appointment and after the invoice had been paid. Repeated reminders by email from us have been completely ignored. This has caused distress to the young patient and ongoing anxiety for his support network.

I have just finished a 1.5 year course of therapy sessions online with Caroline Corley. Caroline was incredibly perceptive to my needs from the very beginning. She put me at ease straight away and created a space where I felt safe and understood. She truly grasped the difficulties I was facing and responded with genuine empathy and insight. She guided our sessions thoughtfully, always steering them in a way that helped me get the most out of our time together. What stood out most was her ability to explain things in a way I could fully comprehend. She transformed theoretical concepts into something tangible, practical, and directly relevant to my life. I’m very grateful for her support and the clarity she helped me develop.
We're grateful for your positive comments regarding Priory Hospital Altrincham. Your words act as a reminder of our ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional care to everyone we support. Thank you for taking the time to provide such valuable feedback.

I feel like I have awoken from a lifelong disability, the compulsion to drink has faded into the distance. My whole outlook on life has changed. For anyonewith any doubts please visit the prior. No more feeling sick daily, Give it a try you have nothing to loose. As the days go by it’s reinforcing to me how I made the right decision and am Forever grateful to all the staff at the priory for their support.

Addiction can run in families, but it doesn’t have to define your future. Behind every statistic is a family living with pain, fear and uncertainty - but recovery can bring freedom, hope and change. Jordan and Helen both grew up surrounded by addiction. For Jordan, losing his dad at 13 left him turning to alcohol and drugs as a way of coping. For Helen, alcohol became part of life from an early age, until her own drinking escalated to the point she felt ashamed, isolated, and unable to cope. With support, both found the strength to break the chain. Today, Jordan is rebuilding his life and creating a healthier future, while Helen has overcome her own struggles and discovered a new way forward. Watch their stories and discover more about our BREAK THE CHAIN campaign
