Dr Peter Ostler

Dr. Peter Ostler is a consultant Clinical Oncologist, (cancer doctor), specialising in the treatment of breast, lung and urological cancers such as prostate, bladder, kidney and testicular cancer. He completed his medical training at King's College School of Medicine and Dentistry in 1989. Choosing to specialise in cancer, he was appointed as a consultant Clinical Oncologist to Mount Vernon Cancer Centre, Northwood, and Barnet Hospital. He sees private patients at Spire Bushey Hospital; BMI Bishops Wood Hospital and GenesisCare Elstree.

Dr. Ostler has a particular interest in the latest technological developments and medical therapies for treating prostate cancer. This includes the use of equipment that positions the patient and delivers radiation precisely to the tumor (stereotactic radiotherapy). He also uses image-guided radiotherapy and brachytherapy which is radiation used to treat prostate cancer. The specific aim is for the treatment to be as effective as possible whilst causing the least amount of side effects for the patient. Dr. Ostler also treats patients with breast cancer, lung cancer and other urological cancers such as bladder, kidney and testicular cancer. He is actively involved in research and recruits patients into trials.
