Dr. Michael Absoud

Dr. Michael Absoud is a highly accomplished Consultant Paediatrician specialising in paediatric neurodisability. With a dedicated focus on childhood complex neurodevelopmental disorders, he provides expert care for children experiencing a wide range of neurodevelopmental and neurological challenges. His clinical practice is centred on delivering comprehensive, compassionate, and evidence-based assessments to support young patients and their families.

Dr. Absoud has a particular interest in autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and developmental epilepsy. His expertise also extends to managing behavioural challenges in children with neurological conditions, childhood disintegrative disorder, and neurodevelopment in rare or neurogenetic diseases. In addition to his clinical work, he is actively involved in clinical research, focusing on epidemiological studies, rare diseases, and childhood neuroinflammatory disorders, which ensures his practice remains at the forefront of paediatric medicine.

Dr. Absoud completed his medical degree in 2000. He subsequently undertook extensive specialist training in paediatrics at several leading children's hospitals in the United Kingdom. In 2012, he completed a PhD clinical research fellowship in health and population sciences at a prominent university institute of child health. Dr. Absoud is a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (FRCPCH), reflecting his commitment to maintaining the highest standards of paediatric care.
