About Dr John Wong
Dr John Wong is a senior medical consultant in Gastroenterology & Liver medicine (Hepatology) in Coventry. He has been an NHS consultant since 2004.
Dr Wong undertook his basic medical training at University of Wales College of Medicine. He completed his specialist gastroenterology training in the West Midlands.
Dr Wong is an all-round experienced gastroenterologist and an expert endoscopist. He undertakes general as well as specialist endoscopy procedures.
He offers a range of Liver and General Gastroenterology services including consultations and endoscopy procedures at Warwickshire Nuffield Hospital and The Meriden Hospital in Coventry. He performs general endoscopy procedures, including gastroscopy (OGD), colonoscopy and flexible sigmoidoscopy.
Dr Wong also carries out specialist endoscopies 1) Therapeutic Endoscopy - oesophageal dilation and stenting 2) pancreato-biliary endoscopy - endoscopic ultrasound, ERCP, cholangioscopy (biopsies and EHL).
