About Dr David Walker
Dr Walker is a consultant gastroenterologist at the Royal United Hospital, Bath. He also practices at the Bath Clinic and Sulis Hospital Bath in a private capacity. He qualified with distinction from Imperial College London and trained in North West London. He spent time as a clinical research fellow for 3 years focusing on the role of genetics in IBD. He was awarded a Doctorate of Medicine in 2011. He has published his research in a number of international peer reviewed medical journals. In addition, he has written five book chapters and given invited talks for the charity Crohn's and Colitis UK.
Dr Walker is an accredited endoscopist with the Joint Advisory Group of GI Endoscopy (JAG) and an accreditated Bowel Cancer Sreening endoscopit. He is an endoscopy trainer on National endoscopy training courses.
