Dr Andrew Milestone

Dr Andrew Milestone is a Consultant Gastroenterologist with nearly two decades of experience, and specialises in the management liver disorders and gastrointestinal disorders, colonoscopy, endoscopy and bowel disorders. Andrew is also the Gastroenterology Clinical Lead at Hereford County Hospital, where he has has continually improved the department by bringing modern treatments such as video capsule endoscopy, and Faecal immunochemistry. He is also a fully JAG accredited endoscopist, as well as being the Clinical Lead for Endoscopy Training at Hereford and also a Faculty member on National courses teaching colonoscopy to other endoscopists.

Dr. Milestone gained his initial medical qualification at Imperial College London, where he intercalated and achieved a BSc in Medical Science with Physiology in addition to his medical degree. Following this he undertook specialist training in gastroenterology, general internal medicine and hepatology at internationally renowned gastroenterology hospitals within London, such as Charing Cross, Hammersmith, St Mary's and St Mark's. He spent the remainder of his training practicing with patients with complex gut disease such as IBS, and IBD at St Mark's Hospital and upon completion, gained his MD at Imperial College London, 2012.

Dr. Milestone elected as a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in 2014.

He works very closely within a Multidisciplinary team of dieticians, surgeons and radiologists. He is appraised by his colleagues and patients for his dedication to his practice, improvement of safety regulations and going above and beyond in his work. Dr Milestone is well accomplished in the scientific research community, actively partaking as an investigator within a range of clinical trials.
