About Dr David Austin

Dr. David Austin is a consultant Physician and specialist in Gastroenterology. He has a special interest in endoscopy and colonoscopy, undergoing advanced specialist training, achieving the UK's highest standard of accreditation to carry out expert colonoscopies for the screening and prevention of bowel cancer. He has performed over ten thousand gastroscopies, colonoscopies, and sigmoidoscopies and brings extensive experience in the investigation, diagnosis, and treatment of gastrointestinal conditions.

Dr. Austin studied at the University of Nottingham, qualifying in 1990, becoming a member of the Royal College of Physicians in 1993, undertaking his specialist gastroenterology training in leading hospitals in London, including St Mary's, the Chelsea and Westminster, the Hammersmith Hospital and St Mark's Hospital. He was appointed as a Consultant Physician and Gastroenterologist in 2004 and elected as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in 2008. Together with his wife Jayne they have formed the Kent Gastroenterology Partnership.
