Dr Carlo Nunes

Dr Carlo Nunes is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and General Physician with over 30 years of clinical experience. He graduated in medicine from the University of Stellenbosch in Cape Town, South Africa, before relocating to the UK to complete his basic and specialist medical training within the South Thames rotation. He subsequently spent four years at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital, where he undertook research with King's College London focusing on Oral Crohn's disease, Orofacial Granulomatosis and Inflammatory Bowel Disease.

Dr Nunes is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and has extensive experience in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. He is a nationally accredited bowel cancer screening colonoscopist and lectures on the London colonoscopy training courses at St George's Hospital. His research has been published in peer-reviewed journals, and his clinical interests include Oral Crohn's disease, Orofacial Granulomatosis, inflammatory bowel disease, bowel cancer screening, advanced endoscopic skills and capsule endoscopy.
