Dr Charlotte Rayner

I completed my training in respiratory and general medicine at Charing Cross Hospital (Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust ) The Royal Brompton NHS Trustand St George's NHS Trust.

I undertook an MD thesis in respiratory infection working in the Host Defence Unit part of the National heart and Lung Institute. My research interests have included Lung infection, Lung Cancer, Breathing dysregulation and Airways diseases. I was lead clinian for Respiratory Medicine Lung cancer and Tuberculosis at St George's NHS Trust and lead clinician for Lung Cancer and Tuberculosis in South West Thames. I was programme director for General Medicine, training at St George's for South West Thames. I was Consultant in General and Respiartory medicine and Clinical director at Queen Mary's hospital Roehampton. I held an Honary Senior lecturer post at St Georges Hopsital medical school and Honary consultant contract at the Royal Marsden NHS Trust.

While at St Georges I led on development of services for Lung Cancer, Interstitial Lung diseases Tuberculosis and Lung infection, COPD and Asthma. I now work solely in private practice and I am the Responsible Officer and associate Medical Director for Aspen healthcare.

I offer a rapid access service for patients presenting with both respiratory and general medical conditions, including lung infections, airways disease such as Asthma and COPD, Cancer, lung fibrosis and thromboembolic conditions. I assess and optimise medical conditions for patients who may require surgery and oncology treatments. Within a multidisciplinary team structure, I work with Consultant surgeons and the Oncology Consultants where complex conditions can be assessed and managed.
