Dr. Charles Clarke is a general Consultant Neurologist with interests in high altitude medicine & cold injury. He has been in consultant practice since 1979, initially at St Bartholomew's Hospital, London & later at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square, London.
Dr. Clarke worked single-handed in neurology at Whipps Cross Hospital from 1981 & previously at Basildon & Orsett. I retired from the NHS in 2006 and remain in practice, now predominantly medico-legal, in many areas of neurology. I report on c. 150 new cases annually.
Dr. Clarke also initiated & produced with colleagues Neurology: A Queen Square Textbook (Wiley Blackwell 2009).
Dr. Clarke has interests in mountaineering, exploration, high altitude, cold injury, sailing, & the environment.
