Dr Benjamin Colleypriest

Dr Benjamin Colleypriest is a Consultant Gastroenterologist practicing in Bath. He specialises in endoscopies and is the Clinical Lead for Endoscopy at Circle Bath Hospital which is JAG accredited as being a provider of excellent care. He also sees patients at Sulis Hospital Bath and has considerable experience treating gastro-oesophageal reflux, inflammatory bowel disease and gastrointestinal cancers

Dr Colleypriest completed his medical degree at Southampton University Medical School in 1998, followed by his specialist training in gastroenterology. He became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians in 2001. He later spent 3 years as a research fellow at the University of Bath understanding the molecular mechanisms of Barrett's oesophagus, oesophageal cancer and other gastrointestinal cancers and was awarded a PhD in 2009 for this work. In 2015, he was awarded his Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians.

Dr Colleypriest has expertise in all endoscopic procedures, including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, ERCP and oesophageal dilatation and stenting.
