About Dr. Simon Peake
Dr Simon Peake is a Consultant Gastroenterologist at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, a large university teaching hospital in central London. Dr Peake qualified from Imperial College London in 2003 with honours and a distinction. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, London in 2006 and completed a Doctorate of Medicine in 2015 at Imperial College. His postgrduate research was carried out in Inflammatory Bowel Disease, and he is currently the lead for IBD at the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trsut. He has many professional memberships including Royal College of Physicians (RCP) and British Society of Gastroenterology (BSG), European Crohn's and Colitis Organisation (ECCO) and American Gastroenterology Association (AGA).
His specialist interests include Inflammatory Bowel Disease, change in bowel habit (constipation / diarrhoea), investigation and mangement of chronic diarrhoea, investigation and management of acid reflux, rectal bleeding, abdominal pain and/or abdominal bloating, and Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
His endoscopic practice includes all aspects of endoscopy, including diagnostic/therapeutic gastroscopy, BRAVO capsule insertion for investigation of acid reflux and diagnostic/therapeutic colonoscopy. His endoscopy metrics are consistently above national standards of excellence.

Dr. Simon Peake, is very thorough, with all the tests, he'd given me; as I was originally referred to him, via my Endocrinologist; due to my blood test results for anaemia. Dr. Simon Peake, had done a gastroscopy, and colonoscopy procedure at the same time, and whilst having this procedure done, he had cut away two, pre-cancerous polyps from the colon area; as I wasn't even aware I had them! Thankfully, I was given the all-clear. Dr. Simon Peake had taken his time to explain the results to me, he has a good bedside manner, and I would highly recommend him. His secretary, is a lovely lady, and very efficient.
My experience with Dr Simon was very reassuring. From the consultation to the procedure Dr Simon was great. He was able to make me feel very relaxed and fully understand everything that was going to happen. The procedure did not take long and there was no pain at all. I would highly recommend Dr Simon.
Dr Peake was great, he was very caring and attentive and all my appointments and procedures were done very very quickly. He explained everything to me very well/clearly and always made sure I was ok before and after my procedure. His secretary Marcela was also amazing, everything was done so smoothly through her and it was really easy to communicate with her. Thank you Marcela and Dr Peake for your fantastic care. I would highly recommend!
Dr Peake was reassuring. I was nervous but he put my mind at rest. He was a very good clinician and the colonoscopy was painless as was my recovery afterwards.
Excellent clinically & very good communication, explains with empathy & understanding.
Simon and the team were exceptional. For what is a not very nice procedure they made me feel very comfortable and explained what was and would happen at every stage. Friendly, professional and procedure carried out with real care and thoughtfulness for me.
