About Dr. Nowlan Selvapatt
Dr Nowlan Selvapatt, Consultant Hepatologist and Gastroenterologist, currently works within the Imperial College Hospital NHS Trust and sees patients privately in several London-based clinics. He is highly experienced in treating a wide range of GI and liver disorders, with a special interest in chronic liver disease, particularly cirrhosis. He is highly competent in performing diagnostic and therapeutic upper GI endoscopies, as well as diagnostic colonoscopies.
Dr Selvapatt underwent his foundation training at Imperial College London, qualifying in 2006. He then underwent specialist training in units throughout London and completed an Advanced Training Programme at King's College Hospital Liver Transplant and Intensive Care Unit. During his training, he also undertook a PhD focusing on Health Economic Analyses for Viral Hepatitis Screening Programmes, he was later awarded the doctorate by Imperial College in 2017. His expertise in the field of hepatitis was recognised in 2016 when he was invited to assist the World Health Organisation with guidelines on the management of the condition.
Dr Selvapatt is also an active researcher, with numerous publications focusing on the complications of cirrhosis. He has also contributed several book chapters on acute and chronic liver failure. He is currently involved as a Principal Investigator on several clinical trials and is invited to present his findings at conferences around the globe.

Dr Selvapatt's PA Natasha is both very efficient and extremely helpful and kind.
