Dr Anthony McClelland

Dr. Anthony McClelland is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist based at Craigavon Area Hospital, providing expert investigation and management of all adult cardiology conditions, including palpitations, syncope, chest pain, and shortness of breath.

He graduated from the University of Cambridge (Christ’s College) in 1997 and became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians of London in 2000. Beginning his cardiology training in Belfast in 2002, he was awarded a postgraduate Doctorate in cardiac research by Queen’s University Belfast in 2005.

Dr. McClelland sub-specialised in coronary intervention, including coronary stenting, and completed his training with a fellowship at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. He was appointed as a Consultant Cardiologist in 2009 and has since developed a strong reputation for his expertise in invasive assessment and treatment of coronary artery disease, particularly using intracoronary pressure wire, ultrasound, and coronary stenting.

His approach combines advanced technical skill with a commitment to delivering the highest standards of patient care, ensuring each patient receives a thorough, evidence-based, and personalised treatment plan.
