About Dr Anthony Hammond
Dr Anthony Hammond is a Rheumatologist working in the NHS practice The Horder Centre in Crowborough. He qualified in 1980 from the University of Edinburgh and completed training in General Medicine and Rheumatology at The Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases, Bath and Bart's Hospital in London. He also completed his doctoral research in SLE at The Royal Postgraduate Medical School in London.
He has a particular interest in arthritis, gout and SLE, and is also an expert in spinal pain management. He has lectured extensively on spinal pain and is a faculty member of the International Spinal Intervention Society (ISIS). Dr Hammond also has experience in the management of sciatica and back pain, including intervertebral disc damage.
