Dr David Warriner

Dr David Warriner is an experienced Consultant Cardiologist dedicated to providing comprehensive and reassuring care for patients experiencing a wide range of heart conditions. With a strong commitment to patient-centred practice, he works closely with individuals to deliver accurate diagnostic assessments and tailored management plans. His clinical approach emphasises clear communication and holistic evaluation, ensuring that patients feel supported and fully informed at every stage of their treatment.

In his clinical practice, Dr Warriner specialises in non-invasive cardiac imaging, including echocardiography and cardiac computed tomography (CT), which allow for detailed evaluation of heart structure and function. His clinical expertise spans adult congenital heart disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease, coronary artery disease, and atrial fibrillation. He also maintains a dedicated clinical interest in cardiogeriatrics, focusing on managing complex cardiovascular conditions and frailty in older patients.

Dr Warriner completed his undergraduate medical degree, earning a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) alongside a Bachelor of Science (BSc). Advancing his academic and clinical expertise, he went on to complete a Master of Science (MSc) and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) centred on cardiovascular research and physiological computer modelling. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) and holds a Diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine (DipSEM). Beyond his direct patient care, Dr Warriner is an active medical educator, author of cardiovascular textbooks, and representative within professional bodies such as the British Cardiovascular Society.
