About Dr. Danoob Dalili

Background

Dr. Dalili is a triple fellowship-trained Consultant Musculoskeletal radiologist with expertise in all aspects of diagnostic and image-guided treatments for orthopaedic, sports, rheumatological, and spine conditions.

He graduated from St Bartholomew's Hospital London in 2010, initially training in plastic surgery, he developed extensive experience as a clinician in traumatic musculoskeletal, orthopaedic and sports injuries in the emergency setting. Later his passion for clinical radiology came to fruition following training at the Royal Marsden Hospital where he witnessed first-hand the profound impact of cutting-edge minimally invasive imaging-guided procedures on patient care.

Thereafter he undertook specialist clinical radiology training which he completed at Imperial College London, including St Marys, Charring cross, Hammersmith, Royal Brompton, Great Ormond Street, Royal National Orthopaedic, Chelsea and Westminster Hospitals and Oxford University Hospitals at the John Radcliffe, Churchill and the Nuffield Orthopaedic centre. His subsequent clinical and research experience has spanned Europe, including France and Switzerland and the United States, including a prestigious scholarship at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

His primary interests include all aspects of musculoskeletal imaging, but he has particular expertise in the application of modern imaging techniques to sports and spinal conditions and is a nominated panel expert for the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE). His original work in the application of Magnetic Resonance and Computed Tomography guided intervention to bone, joint, muscle and soft tissue diseases, have received international recognition, with multiple prestigious awards from all the major Radiological societies.

He established and leads the Interventional Spine service at Epsom Hospital in Surrey providing minimally invasive surgery sparing treatments for the Southwest London Elective Orthopaedic Centre, a national leader in the field of Orthopaedics.

Dr Dalili is regularly invited to lecture and teach internationally in his field, is the chief viva examiner for the European diploma in musculoskeletal radiology and vice-chair of the ESSR Educational committee. He holds active memberships to the British Society of Skeletal Radiologists, Society of Skeletal Radiologists and International Society of Skeletal Radiologists.

Highly research active and an advocate for the latest evidence based techniques, he believes in standardisation of imaging practices and has led on authorship of national guidelines for ultrasound imaging. He has contributed widely to the literature in his field on the topic of image-guided surgery, with over 100 original peer reviewed scientific publications and 20 book chapters in leading medical textbooks.

His private practise spans London, Surrey and Oxford.
