Dr Clare Mullan

Dr Clare Mullan is a dedicated Consultant Obstetrician who provides comprehensive maternity and obstetric care. With a clinical focus on supporting women throughout complex and routine pregnancies, Dr Mullan delivers patient-centred care that emphasises safety, clinical excellence, and personal reassurance. She plays an active clinical leadership role in managing specialised antenatal services for high-risk pregnancies, ensuring that every patient receives individualised, evidence-based care.

Dr Mullan completed her initial university training at the University of St Andrews before obtaining her medical degree (MBChB) from the University of Manchester in 2005. Following her medical qualification, she completed specialty training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology within the North-West Deanery. Dr Mullan is a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) and holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education. In addition to her clinical practice, she acts as a Specialty Tutor for the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, where she oversees postgraduate medical training and education.

Her areas of clinical interest include preterm birth prevention and supportive antenatal management for women who have experienced recurrent miscarriages. Dr Mullan provides expert clinical assessment and tailored treatment plans, including procedures such as cervical cerclage for women at risk of late pregnancy loss or premature delivery. Working in close collaboration with multidisciplinary maternity teams, she remains committed to providing compassionate care and expert guidance to support families through every stage of pregnancy.
