Dr Charlotte Bennett

Dr Charlotte Bennett is a highly accomplished Consultant Neonatologist and Paediatrician based in Oxford. She specialises in the care of newborn infants, particularly those requiring intensive care and specialised medical support. With a reassuring and patient-centred approach, Dr Bennett is dedicated to ensuring the highest standards of clinical care for vulnerable infants and providing compassionate support to their families during challenging times. Her clinical focus encompasses neonatal intensive care, advanced resuscitation, and the management of complex neonatal conditions.

Dr Bennett completed her medical training at the University of London, where she obtained her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). She subsequently earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) and went on to achieve a Postgraduate Certificate in Aeromedical Retrieval and Transport (PGCertAeroRT). Demonstrating her commitment to professional excellence, she is a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (FRCPCH). Her extensive academic and clinical training provides her with a robust foundation to manage the most critical cases in neonatal medicine.

In addition to her clinical duties, Dr Bennett is a prominent figure in medical education and clinical leadership. She has served as a Simulation Lead and has been actively involved in developing advanced resuscitation training programmes for newborn infants. Her research interests include the long-term cost-effectiveness of neonatal treatments, such as extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), and she has contributed significantly to the advancement of perinatal aeromedical transport and retrieval services. Through her work in simulation and education, she helps train the next generation of healthcare professionals to deliver optimum patient care.
