Dr Charles Langoya is a highly qualified Consultant in Infectious Diseases and Medical Microbiologist with extensive clinical expertise in diagnosing, treating, and managing complex infectious conditions. He specialises in evaluating a broad spectrum of acute and chronic infections caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites. Working closely with multidisciplinary clinical teams, Dr Langoya plays a vital role in delivering evidence-based patient care, optimising antimicrobial therapy, and overseeing infection prevention strategies.

His areas of clinical focus encompass travel and tropical medicine, infection control, viral infections, and molecular diagnostics. Dr Langoya has a keen interest in managing imported tropical diseases, viral illnesses such as HIV, and complex bacterial infections. He provides detailed diagnostic evaluations and tailored treatment plans, ensuring patients receive targeted, effective medical care designed to promote recovery and long-term health.

Dr Langoya graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Juba in 2008. He subsequently pursued extensive postgraduate education, obtaining Master of Science degrees in Tropical Medicine and Infectious Diseases as well as Internal Medicine, a Master of Public Health, and specialised postgraduate diplomas in HIV, Travel Medicine, and UK Medical Practice. He completed his higher speciality training in Infectious Diseases in Edinburgh and Medical Microbiology in Aberdeen. Dr Langoya is a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists (FRCPath) and a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP UK).
