Dr Brinda Sethugavalar

Dr Brinda Sethugavalar is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist specialising in cancer treatment with particular clinical interests in breast cancer, lymphoma, and skin cancer radiotherapy. Her clinical work focuses on the use of radiotherapy as part of cancer management, including planning and supervising complex radiotherapy treatments for patients requiring specialised oncological care.

Dr Sethugavalar completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) at the University of Dundee Medical School. She later obtained Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) and went on to complete specialist training in clinical oncology, achieving Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR).

Dr Sethugavalar works as a Consultant Clinical Oncologist at The James Cook University Hospital, where she contributes to cancer services and supports patients undergoing radiotherapy treatment for a range of oncological conditions.
