Dr Birgit Van Meijgaarden

Dr Birgit Van Meijgaarden is a Consultant Paediatrician who specialises in General Paediatrics, paediatric diabetes, and paediatric endocrinology. She is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care for infants, children, and young adults, working collaboratively with families to manage both acute and complex long-term conditions. Her clinical approach prioritises clear communication, thorough clinical assessment, and empathetic guidance to support children and their carers through every stage of development.

In her specialist practice, Dr Van Meijgaarden focuses extensively on childhood metabolic and endocrine conditions, with particular emphasis on Type 1 diabetes care.
