Mr Babbin John

Mr Babbin John is an experienced Consultant Urological Surgeon with expertise in general urology and pelvic uro-oncology. He provides high-quality, patient-centred care across a broad spectrum of urological conditions, specialising in the diagnosis, management, and surgical treatment of bladder and prostate cancers, as well as benign urological disorders.

Mr John completed his primary medical qualification, MBBS, at the Manipal Academy of Higher Education in 2001. Following his arrival in the United Kingdom, he completed surgical training and achieved Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (MRCS) in 2005. He was awarded a Doctor of Medicine research degree, MD (Res), by the University of London in 2008 for his research into advanced urological imaging and surgical techniques. He attained his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Urology, FRCS (Urol), in 2012 and completed a prestigious sub-specialist fellowship in pelvic uro-oncology and robotic surgery. He is an active member of the British Association of Urological Surgeons and the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

In his clinical practice, Mr John offers comprehensive diagnostic assessments and advanced therapeutic interventions. His surgical expertise encompasses robotic radical prostatectomy, radical cystectomy, endoscopic urological procedures, and minimally invasive treatments for benign prostate disease. In addition to managing complex oncological cases, he provides investigation and treatment for urinary tract infections, kidney stones, male fertility issues, erectile dysfunction, urinary incontinence, testicular abnormalities, and phimosis.

Alongside his clinical commitments, Mr John remains dedicated to medical research, medical education, and the development of urological care pathways. He has served as a Principal Investigator for national clinical trials focused on prostate and bladder cancers and contributes to training medical students and surgical trainees. Working within multidisciplinary clinical teams, Mr John ensures that every patient receives individualised, evidence-based care tailored to their unique health requirements.
