Dr. Asad Ali

I trained in Respiratory Medicine, General Medicine and Sleep Medicine in West Midlands and joined as a consultant physician specialising in respiratory and sleep disorders in 2011. I provide care for patients with general respiratory and medical disorders e.g COPD, Lung Cancer, Asthma, Pleural disease, shortness of breath and cough. My subspecialist interest is in sleep disorders e.g Obstructive and central sleep apnoea, narcolepsy, parasmonias e.g sleep walking, sleep talking, rapid eye movement sleep behaviour disorder etc. I also care for the patients with respiratory failure e.g from advanced lung disease or neuromuscular disorders e.g MND and patients on non-invasive ventilation support or CPAP therapy.

I have keen research interest in sleep and respiratory disorders and currently participate in undertaking trials in various areas.

I follow and play cricket and squash with passion.
