Dr Veeresh Patil

 Dr. Veeresh Patil is a qualified specialist in allergy and
respiratory medicine. His training in the East of England region, particularly
at Norwich and Royal Papworth hospitals, has provided him with extensive
experience in a wide range of respiratory conditions. Focused clinical training
in Sleep and Lung Cancer at Royal Papworth Hospital for a year further
highlights his expertise in these areas. 

Dr. Veeresh Patil spent 3.5 years training in allergy at World
Allergy Organisation  recognised Centre
of Excellence in Isle of Wight and Southampton. Additionally, he completed his
MSc in Allergy from the University of Southampton with distinction. 

Dr. Veeresh Patil’s dedication to advancing medical
knowledge led him in pursuit of a PhD focusing on the epidemiology and
epigenetics of asthma and allergy resulting in significant contributions to the
field. His research findings have been published in multiple peer-reviewed
allergy and respiratory journals, showcasing the impact of his work. Moreover,
Dr. Patil has actively shared his research at various national and
international conferences, earning recognition and awards for his outstanding
abstracts on multiple occasions. His commitment to both clinical practice and
research highlights his passion for improving patient care and advancing the
understanding of respiratory and allergy-related conditions.  

Dr. Veeresh Patil has extensive experience in diagnosing and
treating a wide range of respiratory conditions. His specialist interests
include cough, breathlessness, asthma, COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary
Disease), lung nodules, lung cancer diagnostics, and sleep apnoea. 

Dr. Veeresh Patil is also highly skilled in managing various
adult allergies. He specializes in the management of food allergies, allergic
rhinitis (hay fever), urticaria (hives), and angioedema. Additionally, he has
experience in immunotherapy and desensitisation treatments, which are crucial
for managing severe allergies 

Dr. Veeresh Patil is passionate about caring for allergy and
respiratory patients. He works at a busy regional allergy and respiratory
referral centre, ensuring that patients receive the specialized care they need.
Additionally, Dr. Patil’s ability to speak multiple languages, including
English, Hindi, and Kannada, allows him to communicate effectively with a
diverse range of patients.  

Currently, Dr. Patil serves as a Respiratory and Allergy Consultant in a tertiary NHS hospital, where he is actively involved in clinical practice and specialises in  and adult allergic conditions. His clinical interests span a wide range of respiratory conditions including airway diseases such as asthma and COPD, sleep disorders like obstructive sleep apnoea, lung cancer and nodules, food allergy, hay fever, urticaria and diagnostic procedures such as skin prick tests, spirometry, bronchoscopy,  Endobronchial Ultrasounds and thoracic/pleural ultrasounds and aspirations.

Dr. Patil is affiliated with several professional bodies including the British Medical Association (BMA), Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (RCPSG), British Thoracic Society (BTS), European Respiratory Society (ERS), British Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (BSACI) and European Asthma Allergy and Clinical Immunology society (EAACI).
