Mr Andrew Koo

Mr Andrew Koo is an accomplished Consultant Radiologist who provides comprehensive diagnostic imaging and image-guided interventional care. Practising with a strong emphasis on patient-centred medicine, he collaborates closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver clear findings and effective treatment pathways. Mr Koo is dedicated to precise diagnostic evaluation, utilising advanced imaging modalities to support accurate medical diagnoses and deliver targeted treatments.

Mr Koo earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) with Merit from Newcastle Medical School in 2010. After completing his foundation clinical training and gaining further experience in acute care specialties, he undertook postgraduate specialist training in clinical radiology. Committed to professional standards and academic development, he completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Education in 2016 and attained Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) in 2018.

In his specialist practice, Mr Koo focuses on Uro-Radiology and Musculoskeletal Radiology, alongside non-vascular interventional procedures. His diagnostic expertise encompasses multiparametric MRI, CT scanning, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy for complex urological, renal, and musculoskeletal conditions. Additionally, he performs a wide array of minimally invasive image-guided interventions, including joint and bursal steroid injections, hydrodistension, barbotage, image-guided biopsies, and percutaneous drainages such as nephrostomies.
