Dr. Anand Nitin Kanani is an accomplished Consultant Paediatrician with sub speciality accredition in Paediatric Emergency Medicine. As an experienced paediatrician with an excellent reputation, he is leading The Vesey's acute paediatric service within the private sector.
Dr. Kanani's expertise lies in General Paediatrics (13 years), with a particular focus on acute paediatrics for the past 9 years. As a Consultant in a world leading children's hospital and paediatric Major Trauma Centre, he is accomplised in assessing the variety of complex or urgent illnesses in paediatrics (from neonates to adolescents). His expertise includes managing conditions such as fever, abdominal pain, various infections, ear, nose, and throat concerns, skin issues, and chest conditions.
Throughout his 13 year career, Dr. Kanani has consistently demonstrated excellence and received recognition for his contributions. During his training, he was nominated for multiple prizes and won the Arthur Kendall prize, which was a testament to his dedication and expertise. As a forward thinking Consultant, he won the Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Award for Research, Innovation and Quality improvement in 2023. As a trainer, he has been awarded a Paediatric Award for Training Achivements for Educational Supervision in 2021.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Kanani has been appointed as a regional Training Program Director within the School of Paediatrics, West Midlands.
Patient feedback demonstrates that Dr. Kanani takes an explemary holistic approach to the whole family. In 2023, he was described as 'his manner with my child was great' and families report 'I felt listened to and valued'.
