Dr Amrit Kaur

Dr Amrit Kaur is a dedicated Consultant Paediatrician and Consultant Paediatric Nephrologist who provides comprehensive, compassionate medical care for infants, children, and young people with complex kidney conditions. Working collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams, Dr Kaur is committed to delivering holistic, family-centred care that addresses each patient's physical and emotional well-being while supporting families throughout every stage of diagnosis and treatment.

Her extensive expertise encompasses a broad spectrum of paediatric renal care, including the management of chronic kidney disease, rare metabolic causes of renal disorders, and specialised conditions such as cystinosis. Dr Kaur's clinical work covers all forms of renal replacement therapy, with a focus on peritoneal dialysis and home haemodialysis. She also routinely evaluates and prepares children for kidney transplantation and actively supports adolescent patients as they transition into adult renal care.

Dr Kaur completed her specialised sub-specialty training in Paediatric Nephrology in 2014. Demonstrating a strong commitment to service excellence, she obtained a Master's Degree in Health Care Leadership in 2018 and was awarded the NHS Leadership Academy Award in Senior Healthcare Leadership. In addition to her clinical practice, she holds the post of Clinical Lead within her department and actively contributes to paediatric healthcare research as a principal investigator for clinical trials.
