Mr Amit Mevcha

Mr Amit Mevcha is a highly experienced consultant urologist with a specialist interest in the diagnosis and minimally invasive treatment of prostate and bladder cancer. He is known for combining advanced surgical techniques with a patient-focused approach, ensuring care is both effective and tailored to individual needs.

He qualified in medicine with an MB BS from South Gujarat University in 2001 and went on to obtain the MRCS and FRCS (Urology). Mr Mevcha completed his specialist urology training in the West Midlands, followed by an advanced Robotic Pelvic Cancer Surgery Fellowship in Bristol, where he developed extensive expertise in complex oncological procedures.

Mr Mevcha currently practices at Omnium Urology, Nuffield Health Bournemouth Hospital, and Royal Bournemouth & Christchurch Hospitals. His surgical practice includes robotic prostatectomy, robotic and open cystectomy, and urinary diversion procedures, with a strong emphasis on minimally invasive approaches where appropriate to support optimal recovery and outcomes.

In addition to his cancer work, Mr Mevcha diagnoses and manages a wide range of general urological conditions, offering comprehensive care across the full spectrum of urology.
