Dr Amit Gupta

Dr Amit Gupta is a dedicated Consultant Neonatologist and Paediatrician who specialises in the care of newborn babies, particularly premature infants and critically ill neonates. With a patient-centred approach, he works closely with families to deliver empathetic, comprehensive, and evidence-based care during the most critical early stages of life. Dr Gupta is committed to maintaining high standards of clinical excellence and ensuring that every child receives tailored support to promote optimal long-term health and development.

In his clinical practice, Dr Gupta possesses extensive expertise in neonatal intensive care and specialised respiratory management. His key areas of clinical interest include non-invasive mechanical ventilation, advanced newborn life support, and the surveillance of complex neonatal conditions such as necrotising enterocolitis. Additionally, Dr Gupta has significant experience in managing neonatal transport and coordinating multidisciplinary care for infants requiring specialised surgical or medical interventions.

Dr Gupta earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and completed his Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Paediatrics prior to undertaking advanced specialist training in neonatology. He holds a Diploma in Child Health (DCH), a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Education, and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (FRCPCH). Throughout his career, Dr Gupta has also engaged in dedicated academic research focusing on the effects of premature birth on infant lung growth and development.
