Dr Alison Walker

Dr Alison Walker is a dedicated Consultant Paediatrician and Consultant Neonatologist who provides compassionate, high-quality medical care to infants, children, and young families. With a patient-centred approach, Dr Walker focuses on delivering thoughtful, evidence-based care tailored to the unique developmental and medical needs of young patients. Dr Walker completed her undergraduate medical education at the University of Edinburgh, graduating with a Bachelor of Science with Honours and a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery in 2004. Following her medical qualification, she completed comprehensive postgraduate paediatric training across Scotland before undertaking specialist sub-specialty training in neonatology. In addition to her primary medical degrees, Dr Walker holds a Master of Science and is a Member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health. She has also completed advanced professional training as a Scottish Quality and Safety Fellow.

Throughout her career, Dr Walker has maintained a strong clinical focus on neonatology, neonatal transport, quality improvement, and patient safety.
