Are you Alex Haynes?
Alex Haynes is a psychotherapist, counsellor and coach at Nightingale Hospital, where he works with adults and young adults navigating a range of emotional and psychological difficulties. His areas of experience include anxiety, depression, stress, PTSD, panic attacks, mood disorders, postnatal depression, suicidal thoughts, self-harm, anger issues, bereavement, and ADHD.
Alex’s therapeutic approach is relational and existential, offering a collaborative space where clients can explore difficult or painful experiences without judgment or preconception. His aim is to support individuals in gaining greater clarity, agency and meaning in their lives, helping them feel freer in the decisions they make.
He is particularly interested in how early life experiences shape the way we engage in adult relationships but works with clients to find balance between the significance of the past and the realities of the present moment. He has supported individuals of all ages and also works with couples, exploring each partner’s unique perspective within the relationship and identifying patterns that may be limiting emotional connection or growth.
Alex is currently completing advanced training in Relational Life Therapy (RLT), a progressive model that supports couples in building stronger emotional connections, improving communication and creating lasting change.
In addition to his psychotherapy work, Alex also offers personal and professional coaching. His coaching style is collaborative, helping clients gain clarity around their current challenges while identifying internal resources that can support meaningful change.
Before training in existential psychotherapy and counselling, Alex worked in senior management roles within the NHS, collaborating with executive teams across a variety of organisations and regional systems. He has worked therapeutically for several years with both inpatients and outpatients in private healthcare.
He is a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and works with adults, young adults, couples and neurodivergent individuals.
