I came to Dr Bownes for a second opinion on two MRIs of my knee. He did not provide a clear response to whether my ACL was damaged despite repeatedly asking him, and he did not seem worried my knee pain was left undiagnosed. I did not feel my concerns were heard during or after the meeting, or that he looked at the MRIs carefully, and he seemed to have made up his mind before looking at them. Dr. Bownes did not seem very interested in my case.

Dr Sanyal was thorough, understanding, knowledgeable and considerate. He is obviously renowned and in demand as each time I've been to see him, I've had to wait over an hour but it was worth it. Thank you.

Mark Webb was brilliant from start to finish. I felt like I was being listened to for the first time and not dismissed or sent away with pain killers or a steroid injection. He understood that although I’m never going to play sport at a high level, that playing for health, wellbeing and the social side was important to me and his aim was to get me back to playing. He also understood and agreed when I said I didn't want to spend my life on pain meds. He explained the surgical process to me in great detail, in a way which an ordinary lay person could understand. He made himself available to me when I had questions. He advised me on pain levels post surgery and what to expect in the weeks following the surgery. Which was all spot on. His bedside manner was friendly, professional and understanding.

Mr Thomas was very thorough and explained everything to me throughout the consultation & I’m looking forward to reviewing the results of my MRI with him at my follow up consultation later this month
