My experience of the Wilmslow Hospital before, during and after my ear surgery has been excellent. The information I received about my pre-operative assessment and what to expect on the day of surgery was extremely useful and helped me to feel at ease. On the day of my operation, everything ran smoothly and efficiently. All the people involved in my care were friendly and attentive and they couldn't have done more to ensure I was well looked after. The facilities and cleanliness were exceptional and I was made to feel very comfortable during the time I was there. I would definitely recommend this hospital to others.

Priory's organisation seemed to be very good. The initial screening call seemed abrupt at the time and very clinical, but the staff member seemed knowledgeable and matched me with a great clinician. I had Kira as my clinician - from the very first session she created a very safe, welcoming space, explained very clearly the path forward we would take and maintained very clear communication throughout all my sessions. I had never tried or even heard of EMDR and she explained it in a way that was very easy to understand and also the reason behind each of the steps and actions. She was very kind, knowledgeable and I felt that the priority was my health above all.

The whole experience was stress free. Good communications, prompt appoitments, very competent and friendly admin & medical staff. Outpatient facilities are very good and the In patient room accommadtion was excellent.

Proffesional and understanding

Generally the experience was good and I cannot fault the clinical side which was very professional. The administrative side was disappointing at times. I got the impression that staff were overworked and mistakes were made. They were, however, always very friendly.

I was so nervous coming in as I had no idea what to expect. The first few days were very overwhelming, as it was a brand new experience for me, but all of the staff and other clients made feel very welcome and at ease. I came in here not wanting to be vulnerable or open up, but I quickly threw myself into it with the reassurance from staff and clients that it was the safest place to do so. The group therapy sessions are all so helpful, which also shocked me as I was dreading talking about myself in front of others. My therapist, physciatrist and dietitian have also been amazing, and I would not have been able to come as far as I have without them! The rest of the team are all so lovely, friendly and approachable. I have stayed in 3 rooms while I have been here, and each one has been great. The house keeping staff are lovely, and keep the rooms and building super clean and tidy at all times. Overall I have really enjoyed my time here at Lifeworks, of course it has been very emotional and tough for me personally, but couldn't have asked for a better place to start my recovery journey!
