The London Centre is a specialist Mental Health clinic home to a team of Clinical and Counselling Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Psychotherapists, Integrative Therapists, Dietitians, Nutritionists, Family Therapists, and Occupational Therapists dedicated to assisting individuals dealing with eating disorders and body image issues.
Prospective clients are encouraged to reach out with any inquiries via phone, email, or the online contact form, with initial contact typically handled by Kerry, the clinic's PA. Kerry ensures that enquiries are addressed promptly and accurately by consulting with the clinical team when needed.
Before the first session, clients may be asked to complete a brief questionnaire regarding their current situation, preferences, and availability, aiding in the process of matching them with the most suitable clinician.
Assessments are available at all clinic locations and typically last 50-60 minutes for individuals and 60-90 minutes for families. During these sessions, detailed information about the client's situation, history, and therapy goals is gathered to formulate personalised treatment recommendations and address any concerns.
Treatment duration varies for each individual, with typical durations ranging from 10-20 sessions for Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD), 16-20 sessions for bulimia, and 40 sessions for anorexia. Additional sessions may be recommended based on the severity and duration of the condition.
Weekly therapy sessions are common, although some clients may benefit from a more comprehensive treatment plan involving Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Family Therapy, or Medical Monitoring. Physical health monitoring may include blood tests, pulse and blood pressure checks, or medication management, coordinated with the client's NHS GP when necessary.
The London Centre offers support for various conditions, including Bulimia Nervosa, Anorexia Nervosa, Other Specified Feeding or Eating Disorders, Emotional Eating, Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID), Body Dysmorphic Disorder, Binge Eating Disorder, Depression, Anxiety, Low Self-Esteem, OCD, Trauma, PTSD, Perfectionism, Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), and Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (EUPD).

I’m so grateful that I found The London Centre. My therapist has helped me transform my life in many ways. My eating disorder was always only a small part of the whole (long, painful and difficult) story, and my therapist has helped me to find a gentler, kinder and less judgemental approach to all aspects of life. I have learnt how to trust my instincts and to make meaningful decisions for myself, rather than according to external values and rules. Through the patient support I’ve received from my therapist over the course of 15 months, I’ve found my own way to embrace mindfulness and meditation, and to listen to my inner wisdom. She is a remarkably skilled, patient, graceful and kind person, and I have benefited enormously from her expertise and support. I have had a number of therapists over the years, and the help that I’ve received from The London Centre has been far and away the best and most effective. Beyond my therapist, the managers and other clinic staff have been extremely friendly, compassionate and efficient. This has meant that I have not faced any administrative obstacles in my therapy journey, and have always felt complete confidence in the process.
I am really enjoying my visits to see Olivia. She is really facilitating my recovery and I find our sessions to be pragmatic, realistic and well structured.
Louise Lambregt was extremely helpful and kind to my daughter - despite my daughter not always being very responsive. Louise found a way to engage my daughter- at every meeting Louise made sure that my daughter was sitting in a comfortable position and suggested that she might like to do some art or drawing or whatever she felt like, whilst still chatting. This made it much easier for my daughter who doesn't like to feel she's being scrutinized and doesn't make eye contact easily.
Having been a client at The London Centre for 9+ years I recommend it frequently to my own clients. My therapist is fantastic; very empathetic, caring and supportive while being challenging when needed. When I have worked with other clinicians I have always found them to be very friendly and competent.
I am the mother of a young person with an eating disorder and from the first phone call I made to The London Centre everyone I have come in to contact with have been unbelievably reassuring and supportive. They have met my tears and panic with balance and calm and directed me through their service to access the help that we so desperately needed. We continue to use their service's and I cannot thank the team enough.
This is by far the best service I've ever experienced for eating disorders and I have been suffering for years. The staff work with me and get to know and understand me and then gently direct me towards recovery, rather than coming in forcefully. This is a much more effective method long-term, because I am now working with the team, not against them and am in the healthiest place I have ever been, both physically and mentally. They recognise that eating disorders are not all about weight, although that can be one factor. They are mental illnesses which need psychological help. Everybody I have ever seen on this team has been supportive and non-judgemental, giving me the space to share what I needed to, whilst pointing me to a healthier perspective. I am eternally grateful!
The team at The London Centre for Eating Disorders have been wonderful to both me and my daughter. I've had a few sessions myself which have helped me gain perspective and balance in supporting my daughter with Anorexia Nervosa. When at first we didn't find the right help for my daughter the team helped talk me through all the options for her care and now she has a great relationship with her Clinician. Weekly sessions are well structured, supportive and productive. My daughter is able to make sense of her journey and start to challenge her behaviours whilst feeling safe and cared for. This is making a huge impact on her self-esteem and incentive to keep getting better. I am so grateful for the care and compassion of all the team, from booking the appointments through to the sessions themselves.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us, it means so much to us to have such wonderful feedback from our clients and their families! Thank you so much for taking the time to tell us how you and your daughter have experienced our service, it really means al ot. Thank you!
I cannot thank you enough. Not only you're remote service saved me, your service was exactly what I was looking for. I can't believe I am saying this but I feel so much better.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are so thrilled that you have had such a positive experience!
Exactly the expertise and quality of care I was looking for!
Thank you so much for your kind feedback!
I found Louise to be friendly, caring and helpful. She had some good ideas to help me - some of which I still use; and I never felt judged by her. I felt relaxed with her.
