About Life Works
About
Life Works House, part of Priory, is a welcoming 17-bed residential addiction treatment service based in Old Woking, Surrey. It is home to Flourish, an innovative, therapy-led addiction treatment programme offering tailored support for a wide range of addictions in a calm, comfortable and non-medical environment.
Flourish is delivered by experienced therapists and is designed for people who do not require medical detox or ongoing medical care, but who benefit from structured therapy, peer support and practical tools to support lasting recovery.
Life Works House offers evidence-based psychological support with carefully measured outcomes, a high-quality service at a more accessible price point, and a dedicated family care programme. With a strong sense of community, the service provides a peaceful space away from everyday pressures and forms part of Priory’s wider network of residential addiction treatment services across the UK.
Treatment overview
- Therapy-led residential addiction treatment in a non-medical setting
- Suitable for individuals who do not require medical detox
- Focus on both abstinence and harm reduction
- Structured community programme supporting confidence, resilience and life skills
- Treatment available as 14, 28 or 42-day stays (longer stays available where needed)
- Supports a wide range of addictions including alcohol, drugs, gambling, social media, internet, gaming, shopping, exercise, sex, pornography and work addiction
- Free, no-obligation addiction assessment before admission

- £495 per night

I was very frightened when I entered Life Works and did not know what to expect but the staff and patients made me feel at ease. Being in my 60"s I felt inferior but everyone gave me the encouragement to get through the 28 days and I have come out a different revived person and ca.not thank everyone enough.

Coming to life works has without doubt been the best decision my life. An incredibly organised wonderful establishment that has made me feel so welcome. From the office staff to Max the chef who is amazing to the therapists especially canny ...they truly are to the highest and most professional standard..Debbie my personal cottage concierge is the most helpful and a pleasure to see every time i see her and She's always checking in on me even on what's app message to check I'm ok or need anything. The doctor and nurses are 1st class. The cleaners are lovely and friendly...I cannot recommend this place enough absolutely world class. Thank you for having me and turning my life around

I have made unbelievable progress with my recovery since coming in to the Lifeworks community. The therapy and pastoral care here are second to none. Jordan and Helen both grew up surrounded by addiction. For Jordan, losing his dad at 13 left him turning to alcohol and drugs as a way of coping. For Helen, alcohol became part of life from an early age, until her own drinking escalated to the point she felt ashamed, isolated, and unable to cope. With support, both found the strength to break the chain. Today, Jordan is rebuilding his life and creating a healthier future, while Helen has overcome her own struggles and discovered a new way forward.
