Dr Gauri Mishra

Dr Gauri Mishra is a highly qualified Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist who provides comprehensive care for patients experiencing a wide range of digestive and liver conditions. Reassuring and dedicated, she focuses on delivering personalised treatment plans that address both common and complex gastrointestinal issues. Her clinical approach is patient-centred, ensuring that individuals feel supported and well-informed throughout their healthcare journey.

With a broad scope of practice, Dr Mishra has a particular interest in bowel cancer screening, coeliac disease, iron deficiency, and functional bowel disorders. She also possesses advanced expertise in hepatology, focusing on liver cancer, liver fibrosis, and advanced liver disease. To support accurate diagnosis and effective management, she performs key diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, and Fibroscans.

Dr Mishra completed her medical degree with honours at the University of Tasmania. She undertook her basic physician training and subsequent advanced training in Gastroenterology at major tertiary referral centres in Australia. In 2015, she was awarded fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP). Committed to clinical excellence and research, she also completed a PhD evaluating outcomes of transarterial chemotherapy in the management of liver cancer, and she remains actively involved in clinical trials, research, and teaching.
