About Dr Edward Tsoi
Having completed his medical degree from Monash University in 2006, Dr. Edward Tsoi pursued postgraduate specialty training in Gastroenterology and General Medicine at Monash Health, Austin Health, and Northern Health in Victoria. In 2015, he completed his Master of Public Health at the University of Newcastle and was awarded a Fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
Dr. Tsoi co-founded Complete Gastro Health in 2016. He subsequently completed three years of advanced endoscopy training at St. Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne in 2018. He received his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the University of Melbourne in 2021, with his dissertation titled “Addressing Controversies in the Management of Barrett’s Oesophagus Related Dysplasia.” Currently, he serves as a consultant gastroenterologist and the medical lead in the Oesophageal Atresia Clinic at St. Vincent’s Hospital and Northern Health. His areas of expertise include Barrett’s oesophagus, endoscopic mucosal resections, and the evaluation of small bowel luminal diseases through double balloon enteroscopy and capsule endoscopy.
Dr. Tsoi addresses a wide range of gastroenterological issues, including liver disease, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and bowel cancer screening. He is actively involved in teaching medical students and advanced gastroenterology trainees, supervising PhD students at the University of Melbourne, and conducting ongoing research. He has an extensive publication record in international journals, as well as numerous presentations at national and international conferences.
Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese, Dr. Tsoi is dedicated to providing comprehensive care to his patients.
