Dr Yvonne Wilson

Dr Yvonne Wilson is a compassionate and highly accomplished Consultant Plastic Surgeon who specialises in paediatric and adult reconstructive care. Known for her patient-focused approach, Dr Wilson works closely with patients and their families to deliver personalised treatment plans tailored to complex reconstructive and surgical needs. Her practice centres on restoring both function and appearance, helping individuals navigate recovery with confidence and reassuring support.

With extensive expertise in burn care and reconstructive surgery, Dr Wilson's clinical interests encompass acute burn management, skin grafting, scar minimisation, and complex wound healing. She possesses specialist knowledge in managing severe dermatological and tissue conditions, including toxic epidermal necrolysis, as well as evaluating indeterminate depth burns in young patients. In addition to her clinical work, Dr Wilson actively contributes to clinical research aimed at refining wound management protocols and improving long-term scar outcomes.

Dr Wilson earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from the University of Dundee. She completed comprehensive post-graduate training in general and plastic surgery across Dundee, Glasgow, Sheffield, Edinburgh, and the South East Thames region. To further enhance her specialist skills, she completed an advanced microsurgical fellowship in Melbourne, Australia. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Plastic Surgery (FRCS Plast).
