About Dr Tushar Kotecha
Dr Tushar Kotecha is a consultant cardiologist based in London and Hertfordshire.
Dr Kotecha specialises in general cardiology and pulmonary hypertension. He practises at the following private hospitals and clinics:

He is also fully accredited in cardiac MRI.
Dr Kotecha has a strong research backgroound, publishing many articles in high ranking cardiology journals. He was recently awarded the Young Investigator Award by the Society of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (SCMR) in 2020 and his work has been presented at severeal international conferences. More recently, he has publsihed in the European Heart Journal on the effects of Covid-19 infection on the heart . His current ongoing research interests includ the use of cardiac MRI and coronary physiology for the assessment of angina, coronary microvascular dysfunction and scar following heart attack.
Dr Kotecha received his MBChB in 2007 from Leicester Warwick Medical School, PhD in 2020 from University College London and also has an undergraduate degree in Pharmacy (2002). He completed his specialist training in cardiology in North West London in 2019..
