Dr Tushar Banerjee

Dr Tushar Banerjee is a highly dedicated Consultant Paediatrician who specialises in providing comprehensive medical care for infants, children, and young people. With a patient-centred approach, he is committed to delivering safe, compassionate, and evidence-based clinical care. He works closely with families to ensure that the unique physical and developmental needs of every child are met, fostering a reassuring and supportive environment for both patients and their parents.

In addition to general paediatric medicine, Dr Banerjee has developed significant clinical expertise in paediatric allergy and paediatric gastroenterology. His areas of interest include the management of food allergies, anaphylaxis, asthma, eczema, and urticaria. On the gastroenterology side, he is actively involved in treating conditions such as paediatric pancreatitis, constipation, and coeliac disease. He has also contributed to clinical research and quality improvement initiatives, including studies on the implementation of Patient Initiated Follow-Up (PIFU) pathways in paediatric outpatient settings and the optimal use of Asthma Action Plans.

Dr Banerjee is fully registered with the General Medical Council and is listed on the Specialist Register for Paediatrics. He holds a Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH). Demonstrating a strong commitment to professional development and collaborative clinical standards, he is an active member of the British Society for Allergy & Clinical Immunology (BSACI) and the British Society for Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (BSPGHAN), where he contributes to the Pancreatitis Working Group.
