His NHS practice is at the Rowley Bristow Orthopaedic Unit, Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals in Chertsey. He also sees private patients at New Victoria Hospital, Spire St Anthony’s Hospital and The Runnymede Hospital.
With a focus on all aspects of upper limb surgery, including shoulder, elbow, hands, and wrist procedures, Mr Antonios addresses sports injuries, wear and tear conditions, and trauma injuries. He is well-versed in keyhole procedures for the shoulder, elbow, hands, and wrist, as well as shoulder replacement surgery and complex trauma reconstructions.
Mr Antonios completed his medical degree at St George’s Hospital, University of London, in 2009 followed by his specialist orthopaedic training in the Southeast London rotation. He further developed his expertise through two upper limb fellowships in complex upper limb reconstruction and sports surgery at King's College Hospital and St George’s Healthcare, two of the busiest trauma centres in the UK. Additionally, he undertook a standalone trauma fellowship, focusing on complex trauma reconstruction in general and upper limb trauma.
Mr Antonios later was awarded the British Orthopaedic Association travelling fellowship, during which he visited the Mayo Clinic in the USA, and the EFORT travelling fellowship in Switzerland—both world-class centres at the forefront of upper limb surgery.
Alongside his clinical practice, Mr Antonios has led various research and quality improvement projects in the field of trauma and orthopaedics. He also holds professional memberships with the British Orthopaedic Association, the British Elbow and Shoulder Society, the British Society for Surgery of the Hand, and serves as a committee member of the orthopaedic section in the Royal Society of Medicine.

He provides detailed information about various orthopaedic procedures, including shoulder surgery, rotator cuff repair, and joint replacement. Patients report successful outcomes, pain relief, and improved mobility across diverse conditions like fractures, elbow problems, and hand issues. Mr Antonios's expertise in rotator cuff injury and other shoulder and elbow surgery cases is a key highlight.
Mr Tony Antonio is a true professional. His friendly manner immediately put me at ease. The consolation was very through and reassuring. Explaining that I had to be patient and careful and then I will ultimately heal.
I had a reverse shoulder joint replacement, I’m well on the way to having full motion back to my arm.
I had a very good experience. Everything was well explained and I was able to make informed decisions about the choices. Surgery and recovery have gone well and it seems the problem will be resolved.
Dr Antonios assessed me for my shoulder injury and organised an MRI very quickly to establish the cause. I eventually ended up having rotator cuff repair after following his advice to trial physio first. He was really professional throughout and explained my options clearly with all the pros and cons. Now 8 weeks post surgery, I’m really please with the care and advice I have received. I would highly recommend him, and would see him again if needed.
I consulted Mr Antonios about an ongoing sternoclavicular joint problem - he was extremely helpful in his recommendations. Securing appropriate investigation and recommending treatment accordingly. Thank you.
Mr Antonios took the time to explain the MRI scan and outline the treatment he planned. He was frank about the fact that he would not know *precisely* what needed to be done until he saw the situation from the inside. The operation was successful. The one thing I wasn’t completely prepared for was just how painful the first 2.5 weeks would be! Apparently the tear was a big one. Mr Antonios has just reviewed progress at the 8-week stage and is pleased with the outcome, as am I; and I appreciate very much the care I have been given. If I have one suggestion to make, it would be that the patient be mailed or emailed a summary of the work that has been done: I appreciate that not everyone will want to know the details but I would have liked to receive them. Overall, though, I am completely content with the professional care I have received.
Mr Antonios stepped in due one his colleagues due to unforeseen circumstances and everything was explained by both consultants to each other. Tony from the start to end was impressive with his knowledge and experience. Myself & my wife couldn’t ask for a better ‘Surgeon in his field’.
I am extremely grateful to Mr Antonios for his accurate diagnosis of my advanced shoulder arthritis, which had caused me severe pain and significant restriction for several years. Despite the complexity of my case, he agreed to perform a reverse shoulder replacement. Although this is major surgery, I never felt apprehensive. Mr Antonios explained the procedure clearly and approached the complexity of my condition with confidence and positivity , which I found reassuring. Throughout the entire process I felt exceptionally well cared for. Mr Antonios combines outstanding expertise with a genuinely kind, attentive and reassuring manner. I have every confidence in his care and would highly recommend him to anyone needing specialist shoulder treatment.
